All reached an agreement with the board to help with the club’s battered economy due to the coronavirus
Arsenal players and coaches accepted 12.5% less than their wages during the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are delighted to announce that we have reached a voluntary agreement with our first team players, the head coach and the entire coaching staff to assist the club in these critical times,” they said in a statement shared in the official media.
Arsenal specified that the “reduction in annual revenue will be 12.5%” and that it is based on the assumption that “the 2019-2020 season ends and that all television revenue is received.”
The reduction will be applied from the month of April, declared the institution, which specified that the players will have the possibility of recovering the money that they have renounced “fulfilling some objectives of the season”
